Every year, the Transcom Lithuania team engages in an interesting, informative and usually highly entertaining talent search. This spring was no exception - we searched for talents in the Career days of the 7 biggest universities in Vilnius and Kaunas, where we had an opportunity to chat with nearly 600 students.

Every year, Transcom hires thousands of new people on whom our business results depend. People truly make all the difference in our business. To identify the best talents for our projects, we are open and like to use innovative ways to meet our goals. Innovation is one of the three core values which guide us as a company and which influence how we behave.

My name is Morten Halkjaer and I am 25 years old. In February 2014, I moved from Denmark to Riga to work for Transcom Worldwide Latvia. Last winter, I saw a job ad about working with customer service for  an international media company in Riga and I was at a point in my life where I had to choose if I wanted to pursue my career or experience the world. I chose the last option, but I didn't expect that I would find both here in Latvia. I had the phone interview on a Thursday and four days later, I was on a plane to Riga at 5.40 in the morning. 

Being an international company, Transcom offers our employees the opportunity to work abroad. During the last few months Transcom Latvia have had several employees moving from Riga to another Transcom site in Europe, or vice versa, employees from other countries have moved to Latvia. Transcom Riga is a multilingual site, representing ten languages (Baltic and Nordic languages, German, Polish, Russian and English).  Since 2014, we offer employees from Sweden, Norway and Poland  the possibility to move to Riga and work with customer service  for two well-known international brands:

Twelve years ago, in Transcom Isla Sicilia we launched a service to support of our client's employees in all HR related questions. The client is one of the largest global financial institutions. Before Transcom's involvement our client's employees had direct contact with their HR department. Now they need to call us with all their inquiries.

The Team Leader Offsite is an annual event where all Lithuanian Team Leaders and Quality Specialists meet in order to strengthen the bond with Transcom, to get a deeper understanding of our company and the customer service business and of course, to get to know each other.

Every year the Lithuanian HR association invites companies to share their best practices for employee motivation, engagement and loyalty that create additional and add significant value to their business. This annual event is a great opportunity to gain insights in the practices that has proven to be successful in other companies as well as share to our own successes at Transcom Lithuania. But– it is also a friendly competition for companies that have developed successful and innovative ways to improve motivation and engagement

A lot has happened at our Eskilstuna site in Sweden, and we keep growing. Even though the goal has always been the same, we now speak only about customer satisfaction and customer experience and how to reach the top shelf. Our new “well-being team” here in Eskilstuna will help us improve even more. They will work with our staff, to make them feel great about coming to work. With the information they collect, we can make Transcom Eskilstuna a truly great place to work!
